Statement for the James Larkin RFB
Easter Rebellion Tour 2010
The James Larkin RFB wishes to thank comrades in the 32CSM for the
kind hospitality and support during our 'Easter Rebellion Tour
2010'. We would like to especially thank the Finbarr Walsh Cumann
Cork, and the Lynch/Duffy Cumann Derry for inviting the band to
play at the movements commemorations.
The journey to Ireland met with two members being detained by
security agents in Scotland and Wales, these detention amounted to
nothing more that harassment of our members, and an attempt to
disrupt the RFB from honouring our Easter Rebellion Tour
commitments. Members were held for a short period then allowed to
go on their way, one band and 32CSM member has been subjected to
such harassment over the years and had recently made a formal
complaint under the Police Reform Act 2002, and has now submitted
a complaint to the IPCC regarding this latest incident and ongoing
harassment.
